Summary

The UT Elevated program aims to establish a comprehensive transition and support program for students with intellectual disabilities. UT Elevated seeks to empower students to achieve academic success and workforce readiness.

Students will work with a collaborative support team that consists of a student success professional, academic advisor, and case manager to ensure coordinated planning, goal development, and ongoing progress monitoring. This team will provide individualized academic guidance, person-centered planning, career exploration, and skill development in areas such as self-determination, independent living, and employment readiness.

Mission Statement

To increase enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of students with intellectual disabilities at Utah Tech University.
Students in a classroom working independently with assistance from an instructor.

Do I need to apply to UT?

Yes! Please only apply to UT Elevated after being accepted to Utah Tech University as a student. You can find the application here:

Does my disability qualify for UT Elevated?

The student may qualify, if the student has documentation of being evaluated and diagnosed with a intellectual disability by a psychologist or other qualified professional; or

A record of disability from local or state educational agency or government agency.

There are no additional fees for the UT Elevated program aside from standard tuition and fees.
