Mentoring
& Support

The UT Women’s Resource campus activities are meant to supplement our focus on the power of professional female mentoring.

What is Mentoring?

Distinct from peer-to-peer mentoring or having a course advisor, we encourage majoring female students to identify a female faculty or staff who can serve as role models and nurture their academic/professional success.

Some important Mentoring guidelines include the following:

  • Define objectives
  • Be flexible
  • Find the right mentor-mentee match
  • Track and measure
  • Set boundaries/provide the language and guidance
  • Set a closure time and process
  • BROADCAST your success!
